    Koby Rules (Nahal Kini)

What can I say, it was just a short trip close to home, that was the plan, back home by 10:30 at the latest! Yeh like should have realised with Koby at the controls things are never that straight forward. His figure of 8 loop through Nahal Kini to Kibbutz Meggido led us on an endless uphill adventure with little chance for relaxation. Even on the downhill we came across fallen trees and ravines caused by massive flooding. The water had churned up  the mountain as if it was putty revealing a bed of rocks and boulders that had to be crossed by foot. From Meggido we rode the 700 meters back up to the top of the hills past angry cows and frightend calfs. Each turn revealing yet another 1 in 6 climb! I was dripping sweat profusely by now, all I could see was my own front wheel the visor on my helmet! Koby had gone into turbo mode on his Green Shwing leaving both Yaki and myself to curse. Finally at the summit we stopped for a break. But it wasn't over yet, even the downhill turned out to be a ball breaking rock strewn, sliced up path with hazardous cracks and dodgy rocks all over the place. Then right near the end we come across a lone biker splayed out on ground vomiting green bile and unable to move. Good old Koby, always a man to rely on rushes off, gets his car and takes the man to meet up with the ambulance his riding partner had gone off to call. Yaki and I push off back to Givat HaRakafot where this adventure started, thus completing this most demanding of rides I have been on yet.
